The psoas as a true core muscle hugs the lumbar spine. Awareness and proper training of the psoas improves spinal and pelvic alignment, liberates the lower back, and improves flexibility in hip joints. Additionally, the psoas impacts breathing because of the related connections to the diaphragm and the pelvic floor. In this workshop we will use imagery and movement protocols to activate and balance the use of our deeper core muscles.
